Hao Nguyen, Ph.D.
Hao Nguyen received his B.A. in Biology from Rice University, Houston, Texas in 1987; his M.S. and Ph.D. in Molecular and Cellular Biology from The University of Texas at Dallas in 1991 and 1995, respectively. He was a Research Scientist at the Dallas Veterans Affairs Medical Center for a number of years before accepting a tenure-track faculty position at the University of Tennessee in Martin. He is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biological Sciences at California State University, Sacramento (CSUS) [since 2002]. His research interest is in the area of Cell Cycle Regulation using Colorectal Adenocarcinoma and Colonic Development in human and rodents as models. He teaches a number of courses at CSUS including Cancer Biology, which focuses on the molecular, cellular, and histological aspects of this disease.
