Bonnie Raingruber, Ph.D.
Dr. Bonnie Raingruber, is a Professor of Nursing and Director of the Center for Health and Human Services Research at California State University, Sacramento. She is also a nurse researcher and associate adjunct professor in hematology/oncology at the University of California, Davis, School of Medicine. Dr. Raingruber specializes in qualitative and community based participatory research. She has a NICHD funded grant using community based participatory research methods to identify effective interventions to prevent adolescent obesity in African American and Hispanic teens.
She is also involved in a pilot research project to evaluate the effectiveness of Tai Chi and meditation in decreasing the stress levels of cancer patients. Dr. Raingruber, is interested in health promotion, disease prevention, and health disparities research.
